Creation of costume and artist trained at La Cambre in Brussels. Coming from Argentine and Chilean family backgrounds and shaped by mobility and multiple cultural influences.
My practice is rooted in costume, textile research, material assemblage and what I would describe as a form of archive. This defines my approach to materials as a vocabulary of colors, fabrics, textures and shapes.
My work is grounded in processes like gathering, reorganisation and combination. Working with natural fibres and textile remnants, I approach materials through transformation and recomposition, where proceses become central to the practice.
Thought the years I have developed a strong interest in costume, closely connected to my passion for carnivals and collective celebrations, where garments become a space of transformation, enjoyment and freedom. At it happens during carnivals, clothing allows the shifting of identities it create temporary worlds, and activates or transforms bodies.
